SPECIES NOTES

The Mojave Green Rattlesnake (Crotalus scutulatus) is a highly venomous pit viper of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico, best known for its combination of hemotoxic and neurotoxic venom. This species also has an anecdotal reputation for being aggressive. It is a common reptile in many areas that is found, including the western Antelope Valley in California, where this photo was taken.
