This is the first of a planned series of digital vector pieces of wildlife brought to extinction because of human activities. The Dodo (Raphus cucullatus) was large and flightless of member of the cuckoo family endemic to the Island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. It was hunted to extinction as food for ships. The current most widely-accepted date of extinction is 1693.

This work was completed in June 2016 using Inkscape software.
