The Northern Hawk-Owl (Surnia ulula) is a medium-sized owl of northern boreal forests. It is panarctic, occurring in North America, Europe, and Asia. Unlike most owls, it is entirely diurnal.

The original, including the header text and map, was hand-drawn with pen and ink. The final image was scanned and converted to a vector graphic.

An 8.5 x 11 inch digital image is available for personal use at my Etsy store. Or get a print at wildlife.graphics.
